Most people don’t think of British Columbia as a place where you can find dinosaurs. Yet new research by Royal BC Museum palaeontologists is slowly revealing the secrets of the dinosaurs that once inhabited these lands.
Dinosaurs of BC features dinosaur bones and footprints from Vancouver Island, the Peace Region and the Kootenays. It highlights the diversity of dinosaurs from BC and the different environments where fossils have been discovered.
“Buster”, a Ferrisaurus sustutensis, is the first unique dinosaur species found in BC and is brought to life through a realistic life-sized sculpture and 3D-printed fossil replicas.
The exhibition also showcases photos and videos of expeditions to dig sites where Buster was found.
