Exploring the Salish Sea: connecting local youth to their big blue backyard

The Exploring the Salish Sea program, in partnership with School District 61, Ocean Networks Canada, the Royal BC Museum, Seaquaria and Eagle Wing Tours, is an award-winning program connecting local youth to their big blue backyard, the Salish Sea. This 4 - part program is designed to provide the students with an  experiential learning experience in hopes to inspire them to connect with the oceans and protect them in the future. With over 8000 students participating in the program through its 6 years running, our future goal is to allow this learning experience to be accessible to every child in the area.

Live at Lunch is a monthly series where you can hear directly from curators, archivists, staff and researchers at the Royal BC Museum as well as fascinating community members and guests. The events are free, no registration is required and they take place in the Conference Hall at the Royal BC Museum.
